Sheer Ambrosia Bakery’s baklava “cake" is not your traditional cake made from flour, eggs, and sugar, whipped into a batter, and poured into a pan. It is an authentic baklava that serves 40 people—the same as our 40-piece pan ($150). A baklava and a true cake are two totally different delights entirely. Sheer Ambrosia hand lays and individually butters 45 layers of fillo dough, intermittently adds four layers of nuts and spices, and finishes it all off with a homemade honey syrup.
